Women rule
I'm not necessarily fond of Hillary Clinton but I do think its time to elect a woman president. I'm quite positive she would NEVER forget and leave her lunch containers in her bag after coming home from the office!
Quality
As I was heading home from my ride today Barbara Streisand's 'People' came on my IPod. I have to say her voice is so crystal clear its almost like she is singing directly into my ears. She has such range and power. Quite a difference from Madonna's 'My baby's got a secret' that played just before it. It's the difference between a Tiffany champagne flute and a Pottery Barn one.
A good year
As reported in the New York Times this morning the chairman of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd C. Blankfein could possibly earn as much as $65 million this year. Even with Citigroup and Merril Lynch reporting major write-downs and the subsequent firings of Stan O'Neil and Chuck Prince it will still be a good year for them with their 'packages'. I can hardly feel sorry for any one of those guys when a man trying to get a roll with butter this morning couldn't afford the 75¢ it cost. The propreitor of the cart said just give me whatever you have. In my opinion, it is those kinds of people that make New York great.
About those sneakers
I got this email from the management company of my co-op:
It has come to this office’s attention that personal items belonging to you are being left in the hallway. The items being left include, but are not limited to, shoes, skateboards, bicycles, umbrellas and paint containers.
I was going to write back and tell them that I no longer leave anything in the hallway because someone stole my sneakers and how about you work on the roach problem in the basement.
Now that I have a blog I can just vent here and not be the brat I sometimes am.
Central Park Jogger
There is an article in the NYT today about the interview questions Oprah and Katie Couric asked the victim about being attacked. Basically they thought she was crazy for running in the park at that hour.
I have one thing to say. If people didn't run or bike in the park when the sun set than the 'wildings' would still be going on today. We have finally taken back the park from criminals and drug addicts and its because of people like Trisha Meili that we are able to enjoy the park at all hours today and in the future. Thank you.
